Governance

The main governance mechanism of the community is voting. The details around each vote will be discussed on Discord, where people can talk about alternatives, advantages, and disadvantages of different outcomes or make new proposals.

The vote itself is done on which is a tool specialized in DOA govenrnance. In order to vote, people will need to hold the membership token in their wallets, but the vote itself is done off-chain in order to reduce the gas fees. Tools are emerging to guarantee on-chain execution of the vote decision (e.g. Gnosis SafeSnap).

All important decisions in the community will be taken after a vote. A non-exhaustive list of examples:

  • Which project(s) will be built in the next season?

  • How many tokens will be allocated to a certain project?

  • At what price a service built by the community shall be offered?

  • Who will lead a particular project?

  • Should the community create a bounty for a certain task?
