Buying with MATIC

To buy the membership token with MATIC you need to install Metamask, transfer MATIC in your wallet, and mint the token from our website.

Installing Metamask

Metamaskarrow-up-right is a popular wallet for the Ethereum blockchain that has a browser extension and a mobile app. If you install Metamask for the first time you will need to create a new wallet and note down the security phrase.

You should never share the security phrase or the private key of your wallet with anybody. We will never ask you about that!

After everything is set up, you can open Metamask and see your public wallet address under your account name. It is a series of random0looking letters and numbers (something like this 0xF2DAd1bFEF508d2E0cf44D61538E6487f15cDF63).

Buying MATIC

Our NFT is deployed on the Polygon blockchainarrow-up-right. Polygon is a Level 2 network built on top of Ethereum and has the advantage that it has very low transaction fees. Minting an NFT on Polygon costs less than $1, while on Ethereum the price can easily exceed $100!

MATIC is the native currency on Polygon and can be used to buy our NFT token (1 MATIC is about 2 USD). You can buy MATIC on many popular exchanges and then send it to your Metamask wallet. There are some important things to consider, though:

  • Beware of exchange fees - many exchanges charge a high flat fee for buying and transferring MATIC (sometimes up to 15 MATIC). If you are not careful, you can easily overpay when buying sa mall amount of MATIC.

  • Use the Polygon chain - some exchanges like Coinbase allow you to buy MATIC, but only on Ethereum and not on the Polygon chain! If you do this you will need to bridgearrow-up-right the tokens from Ethereum to MATIC for a high fee.

We recommend using Binancearrow-up-right since it has low fees and allows you to buy a small amount of tokens.

Minting the token

After you have your wallet and some MATIC in it, you are ready to mint the token on https://underfitted.io/arrow-up-right. The website will guide you through all necessary steps: connecting your wallet, switching to the Polygon network, and minting.

The price of the membership token starts at 5 MATIC and increases by 0.69 MATIC every 10 tokens.
